Our Teaching and Learning Vision
We believe that "Every aspect of every child matters" and therefore are committed to developing the whole child. We pride ourselves in getting to know each child as an individual — their preferred learning style(s), their strengths, areas for development, their likes and dislikes, and even their interests outside of school. With this knowledge we aim to provide a learning environment and plan a curriculum that will enable each child to be the very best they can be. For children to learn effectively, the curriculum must be relevant, the learning fun, and the environment stimulating. This includes our provision of extra curricular activities and school trips. In order to plan effectively to meet each child’s needs, there must be effective assessment that directly informs planning and teaching. Assessment is a combination of formal and informal assessment, and we are committed to involving children in their own assessment.
